The glass fluid level gauge is a kind of liquid level gauge with simple structure and long history. It is a kind of instrument developed on the basis of glass tube level gauge, which is more resistant to high temperature and high pressure. It is mainly composed of main body, gland, upper cork valve, lower cork valve, glass, connecting flange, fastening thread, sealing gasket, safety steel ball and other components. The glass fluid level gauge has simple structure, convenient installation and maintenance, no blockage, no leakage, good sewage performance, etc. It is widely used in various industries.

1.Working principle of glass fluid level gauge：

The glass fluid level gauge is based on the principle of the connector, which can directly display the liquid level of the solution in the sealed pressure container and the open container. It works in the same way as the glass tube liquid level gauge. The connecting flange is connected with the container to form a communication device, and the height of the liquid in the container can be directly observed through the glass.

The needle valves are equipped with safety steel balls. When the glass is accidentally damaged, the steel balls will automatically close the liquid channel under the action of the liquid pressure in the container to prevent the liquid from flowing out. By changing the material of the parts or adding parts, the functions of anti-corrosion, heat preservation, anti-freezing and lighting can be achieved.

2.Types of glass fluid level gauge:

reflective glass fluid level gauges

The light-transmitting glass fluid level gauge is a new type of level gauge that integrates the multiple advantages of glass tube level gauge, quartz tube level gauge, plate level gauge and boiler water level gauge. To a certain extent, it can replace high temperature glass plate level gauge, high pressure, small specific gravity magnetic flap level gauge, etc.

3.Precautions for installation and use of glass fluid level gauge:

1. During the use of the glass fluid level gauge, when the temperature exceeds 200 °C, the operating pressure must be reduced

2. During assembly, in order to prevent the glass from being broken by torsion, tighten the bolts in sequence. Start from the middle of the instruments, and then cross-tighten outwards in turn; the tightening force should be even, and it is best to use a torque wrench to tighten

3. When the glass fluid level gauge is transported to the construction site, check whether the fastening bolts are loose

4. During use, the upper valve needs to be opened slowly. If it is cold weather or the temperature of the liquid is high, it is best to preheat and then slowly open the lower valve.
