Classification and Working Principle of Glass Plate Level Gauge

1.1 Definition of glass plate level gauge

The glass plate liquid level gauge is a direct-reading liquid level measuring instrument, which is suitable for on-site detection of the liquid position in general liquid storage equipment in the industrial production process. Its simple structure and accurate measurement are the traditional on-site liquid level measurement tools.

1.2 Classification of glass plate level gauge

A needle valve is installed at each end of the glass plate level gauge. When the glass tube breaks due to an accident, the needle valve automatically closes under the pressure of the container to prevent the medium from continuing to flow out.

Glass Plate Level Gauge

The glass tube plate level gauge can be used to directly indicate the height of the liquid level in the sealed container. It has the advantages of simple structure, intuitive and reliable, and durable, but the medium in the container must not corrode with the steel, steel paper and graphite pressure ring .

Glass plate level gauge It is mainly used to directly display the height of the medium liquid level in various tanks, towers, tanks, tanks and other containers.

(1) According to the working principle, it can be divided into two types: light transmission type and reflection type, and the specific use range is as follows:

a. The translucent glass plate liquid level gauge is mainly used to observe the liquid level of opaque or colored liquids;

b. Reflective glass plate level gauge is mainly used to observe the liquid level of colorless and transparent liquid;

(2) According to the operating temperature, it can be divided into two types: ordinary type and high temperature type, and the specific use range is as follows:

a. Ordinary glass plate level gauge is mainly used in the occasions where the pressure level is less than or equal to PN6.4MPa and the operating temperature of the measured medium is less than or equal to 250 ℃;

b. The high-temperature type can be divided into: high-temperature and low-pressure type, high-temperature and medium-pressure type and high-temperature and high-pressure type, the specific application range is as follows:

a. High-temperature and low-pressure glass plate liquid level gauge is mainly used in applications where the pressure level is less than or equal to PN4.0MPa and the operating temperature of the measured medium is greater than 250 ℃ and less than or equal to 400 ℃;

b.High-temperature medium-pressure glass plate liquid level gauge is mainly used in the occasions where the pressure level is less than or equal to PN6.4MPa and the operating temperature of the measured medium is greater than 250 ℃ and less than or equal to 400 ℃;

c. The high-temperature and high-pressure glass plate liquid level gauge is mainly used in the occasions where the pressure level is less than or equal to PN25.0MPa and the operating temperature of the measured medium is greater than 250 ℃ and less than or equal to 400 ℃.

(3) According to the pressure level, it can be divided into three types: low-pressure type, medium-pressure type and high-pressure type. The specific application range is as follows:

a. The low-pressure glass plate liquid level gauge is mainly used when the pressure level is less than or equal to PN4.0MPa and the operating temperature of the measured medium is less than or equal to 250 ℃.

b. The medium-pressure glass plate liquid level gauge is mainly used in applications where the pressure level is less than or equal to PN6.4MPa and the operating temperature of the measured medium is less than or equal to 250 ℃.

c. The high-pressure glass plate liquid level gauge is mainly used when the pressure level is less than or equal to PN25.0MPa and the operating temperature of the measured medium is less than or equal to 250 ℃.
